Course overview

Progress your career in the construction industry with this apprenticeship qualification. This course will qualify you as a fibrous plasterer and help you become a recognised tradesperson.

According to the Australian Government's Job Outlook service, the number of people working as plasterers is experiencing strong growth. This large occupation is expected to create around 19,000 jobs over the next five years with employers looking for people who are reliable, hardworking, and work well in a team.

This course will allow you to apply and practice plastering skills to complement your on-the-job training. You will learn to install and finish plasterboard and fibre cement sheeting to line walls and ceilings. You'll construct bulkheads and assemble partitions as well as install cornicing. Our trade-qualified teachers will train you to work safely and effectively and will assist you to plan and inspect your work to ensure the highest standards.

Successful completion of this qualification as an apprenticeship will allow you to apply to become a qualified fibrous plasterer in a commercial or domestic setting.
