Course overview

Kick start your career in the printing industry with this practical course. Gain the broad range of knowledge and skills required to work as a print machinist. The printing industry is one of the largest manufacturing industries in Australia. Worth over $23 billion and employing more than 115,000 people, the printing industry offers significant career opportunities.

This course covers the trade skills of printing on printing press simulators and digital machines. You will study how to set up and operate lithographic, flexographic, printing presses and digital printers. You will also learn how to prepare material, monitor and run equipment, and apply solutions to common printing problems.

Successful completion of this course will allow you to seek work as a digital print manager, digital printer or print machinist.
