Nursing Wards

Nursing students at TAFE Queensland study in our simulated nursing wards that replicate a real-life hospital environment. We make the transition from study to work easy, giving you an opportunity to learn on the same tools and equipment used in healthcare facilities around the country.

Simulated nursing wards

Our simulated clinical training rooms provide the perfect opportunity to learn hands-on and put your skills into practice straight away. You'll be supervised by experienced and industry-current registered nurses, ensuring you're always learning the latest and most up-to-date techniques.

Nursing students at our Cairns campus don't just learn nursing theory, but also the practical skills they need to work in hospitals, aged care facilities, and community settings.

Our learning spaces are more than just a classroom. The simulated wards are equipped with the latest technology and use advanced training products including CAE JUNO nursing manikin designed to provide students with real life experiences in the health care setting. TAFE Queensland use the latest medical equipment meeting current industry standards. Our simulated Nursing wards provide students with an interactive environment under the direction and guidance of industry professionals.

In a career as fast-paced and hands-on as nursing, the practical components are just as important as the theory. That's why nursing students at our Ipswich campus study in our hospital-standard clinical nursing training precinct.

Learn the latest methods and techniques from professional registered nurses and put your skills into practice straight away in a simulated learning environment. Build your skills and your confidence and graduate with both the theory and industry skills required to kick start your nursing career.

At our South Bank campus you'll have access to purpose-built training facilities, experienced teachers and placement opportunities where you will gain experience in nursing care, monitoring medications, and patient health analysis and administration.

Our nursing training facilities are second to none. Our hospital-standard clinical nursing simulation room is equipped with electric beds, vital signs monitors, ECG machines, IV trolleys and responsive simulator mannequins.

Prepare yourself for real-world situations and practice on state-of-the-art equipment under the supervision of industry professionals.
